Modifications After Check-In
How do I modify my booking if I've already checked in?
Have you already checked in and wish to modify your booking? TravelStay will be able to assist you only in certain circumstances as other requests need to be handled directly by your accommodation provider. See the following scenarios below for examples. (If your modification request cannot be found below, please see the details at the end of this Help Article for more options.
"I want to remove nights from my stay." | If you have already checked in, any changes of this sort will need to be handled directly with the accommodation. Please note that cancellation fees may be applied in association with the hotel's booking policy. Deposits are non-refundable for these modifications made after check-in.
"I want to change my room type." | Most accommodations will give consideration when "upgrading" your room type regarding cancellation fees for the original booking. Whether this is an upgrade or a downgrade, this must also be addressed directly with the accommodation. Deposits are non-refundable for these modifications made after check-in.
"I want to add nights to my stay." | If you want to stay for extra nights beyond your current check-out date, you should create a new booking via TravelStay for the extra nights (subject to availability). Go to the TravelStay page for Hotel Specific searches at http://www.travelstay.com/Home_SearchByHotelName.htm (see example below).
Simply click on the drop down box for Hotel Name and select your accommodation. Enter in the desired Arrival Date, Departure Date and Number of Guests to check availability for that accommodation. (You may also opt to search for the room type into which you are already booked.) Based on availability, you will then be able to book these additional nights at current rates.
** TravelStay Tip : When making this booking, write your previous booking number in the Special Requests field and explain that you want to extend your booking, and the hotel may be able to keep you in the same room if possible. (E.g. "Extended Stay - See Booking Reference TSN9876543 - Keep in same room, if possible.") **
